IH 404 Utility Restore

Have been working hard on getting the 404 ready for sale,

have been doing the fun parts – painting and details

some in process pics – restored original IH logo for front of tractor

Found some logos that originally go on a IH 340 for the Utility 404 on Ebay for $40 – these are super hard to find and they usually want $100+ for just one…

Hit them up with paint stripper (not pictured) and now they are just plain with no paint on them. Will finish them with black painted background and white letters to match the 404. Nice to have original emblems rather than decals whenever cost possible.

Latest piece we’ve found on ebay went on a 504 but it has the exact same part number as the 404. Front dash piece was missing. $30 on ebay thankfully, not a bad price. Painted and restored, just have to get the right warning decal pack.

Finally looking much better 🙂 since when we got it, it had been sitting outside / things were living in it…

We’re still missing 4 side panels but trying to use other model #s if possible, if we can find anything close we may be able to modify it to look original.
