So we’ve planned to put a new front screened porch on the house, wrapping it around to the current front door. Just screen on the porch portion that comes from our bedroom though. Clay has it pretty cleared out, just need to move some front landscaping still. Used pavers to make a temporary path forContinueContinue reading “Preparing for the new porch”

Three new projects
Well, after our 4 wheeler was stolen out of the barn (and found by police) we bulked up our property with some security systems – 200 ft of fence, 12 ft gate, signage and security cameras everywhere. Too bad for them our 4 wheeler tire goes flat if not aired up weekly, and the carbContinueContinue reading “Three new projects”
More landscaping and projects
Little update, Here’s the path now that it’s done, figure we will work on the rest of the landscaping when it’s not 100 degrees. Landscaping path
The tin on the barn project is on hold for a month until we can find the right place to get the tin from. But we have a lot of quotes and should have one soon. Moving in this week
The building tin is on hold right now – we have the store room all ready so we can move the garage items into it. But the electrical is prepped and the lights are ordered so in no time it will be done. We can’t wait to get out of our rental. Our dogs areContinueContinue reading “Moving in this week”
Concrete & Sand
We moved 6 tons of sand into place to level out the floor of the barn. One corner was just drastically lower than the rest of the barn. It’s 6″ of concrete across the floor, sloped to the drain in the middle. 6 tons of sand does not look like much but it takes aContinueContinue reading “Concrete & Sand”
The Building / Barn
This week Clay, Jim and Mitchell are busy preparing for a concrete pour in the building for Wednesday as well as getting ready to finish paneling the barn. I’m helping out after work with whatever I can. The barn has good bones and a nice new roof/beams. Unfortunately they used parts of it for aContinueContinue reading “The Building / Barn”
